Businesses Team Up to Turn the Mountain Blue

Businesses from across the White Mountains have teamed up to Turn the Mountain Blue to raise funds for the family of fallen Police Officer Darrin Reed. Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 22, blue light bulbs will be available for a suggested $10 donation at Show Low Police Department (available for purchase Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, excluding holidays, at 150 N. 6th Street), Pinetop-Lakeside Police Department (available 24/7 at 1360 N. Niels Hansen Lane), Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District (available Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, excluding holidays, at the administrative office, 3561 E. Deuce of Clubs) and Pinetop Fire Department (available 24/7 at 1845 S. Pine Lake Road), with all proceeds going to the family. The Home Depot donated 1,000 blue light bulbs, supplemented by a purchase of 2,500 more by Alta Sierra Veterinary Hospital, Christopher’s Garden, Barrera Construction, Jill Tinkel State Farm Insurance, Distinktive Auto Body, Green Leaf Landscaping, Williams Brothers Auto Service, Heck’s Collision Center, Cross Exterminating, Owens Energy, Phil Stratton Electric, The Hub, Birdman Media and FedEx.
