Cellular One Sponsors Show Low High School Incentive Programs

Incentive Programs to Reward Outstanding Students and Teachers During the 2016 – 2017 Academic Year

Cellular One (www.cellularoneonline.com) today announced that it will once again sponsor the Perfect Attendance Program at Show Low High School along with a New Teacher of the Month program to take place during the 2016-2017 academic year.

Cellular One’s sponsorship of the Perfect Attendance Program enables Show Low High School to hold monthly prize drawings to incentivize students toward perfect attendance—meaning no tardies or absences. Monthly prize drawings are held where one male and one female student with perfect attendance each receive a $50 gift card from Cellular One. This all culminates with a grand prize drawing (worth $250) at the conclusion of the school year.

The new Teacher of the Month program is designed to energize Show Low High School faculty, incentivizing teachers toward monthly and annual improvement goals. Students will be asked to nominate their teachers for acts of exceptional service, such as creating an engaging lesson or providing extra tutoring. Similar to the Perfect Attendance Program, nominated teachers will be eligible for a monthly $50 gift card drawing with a Best Teacher of the Year grand prize—worth $250—awarded at the end-of-school-year assembly.

According to Ben Marchant, Assistant Principal at Show Low High School, “It is no secret that one of the greatest contributing factors to student success is their relationship with their teachers. Our school-wide goal for this year is to improve the motivation of ALL students in ALL areas, and this begins and ends with our teaching staff. Unfortunately, teachers often don’t get the recognition they deserve for their hard work and efforts. The Teacher of the Month Program gives our deserving teachers an opportunity to be recognized for helping our students along the path to success.”

“We are thrilled to be the returning sponsor of the Perfect Attendance Program, which has contributed to higher attendance all year long at Show Low High School,” said Cellular One CEO Judd Hinkle. “This year, we are pleased to expand our sponsorship to support the teachers who make it possible for students to achieve their academic dreams and goals. We are very much invested in giving back to our White Mountain community and we’ll continue to show our support by sponsoring educational initiatives that make a positive impact.”
