Grand Opening for the Forever Young Café

Meals on Wheels operates the Show Low Senior Center and the newest addition, the Forever Young Café located at the Show Low Public Library. The café is named in honor of a generous anonymous donor who funded most of the equipment whose favorite song is “Forever Young.” The Forever Young Café is open five days a week from 9 am to 3 pm with an assortment of homemade soup and sandwich combos, wraps, snacks, pastries and cakes, and a variety of coffees, teas, lemonades, and real fruit smoothies. Prices are posted at the Forever Young Café with seating area inside.

The White Mountain Meals on Wheels of Show Low began in 1981, after many saw the need to help the White Mountain Community. They are a 501(c)(3) and serve the greater area of Show Low, Pinetop-Lakeside, and Linden. All meals are prepared and delivered from the Show Low Senior Center, located at 301 E. McNeil, Show Low.

Many use the Senior Center to play bridge, Mahjong, and other games on a daily basis as the facility is available five days a week from 9 am to 5 pm. In addition lunches are also available 11 am to 12:30 pm, menus are published weekly in the White Mountain Independent newspaper.

Grab a bite at the Forever Young Café or stop by the Show Low Senior Center for one of their wonderful entrees and help support those who have helped others who now may be homebound. For more information, please call (928) 537-1567.
