Create a raggy style baby-size or lap quilt as a holiday gift for someone special in a Quilt ’til You Wilt noncredit workshop at Northland Pioneer College’s Show Low – White Mountain Campus, 1001 W. Deuce of Clubs, in Modular 6, (between the Cosmetology and Learning Centers) on Wednesday evenings, 6 to 8:30, Sept. 14 through Oct. 26. There is a $50 fee for the class.
Instructor Marjorie Stockton will show you the basics of measuring, cutting, designing, selecting colors and construction of the flannel “raggy style” baby or lap quilt. The finished quilt will be approximately 35” x 49” in size. Traditional quilting techniques will also be explained. Students should bring a sewing machine, general sewing supplies, 3 yards of fabric, a rotary cutter and cutting board.
