Hometown Carrier Made the Holidays Brighter for Local Families in Need
by Judd Hinkle, CEO
As we ring in the new year at Cellular One, we also reflect back on what really matters. Of course, we are always committed to providing a wide variety of mobile and business technology products and services that are both affordable and reliable. However, the holiday season was an opportune time to demonstrate our commitment to giving back to the community in so many important ways.
In that spirit, we were so proud to be able to help our hard-working friends and needy neighbors enjoy this past holiday season with their loved ones by partaking in the following giving initiatives:
Selfie Trees for Charity
During December, we encouraged the community to take a break from the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping by checking out our eye-popping Naked Mobile Christmas tree (in the lobby at WME Theaters Village 8 in Lakeside)–the purple tree was 15 feet high. Hard to miss it! Folks were encouraged to take a Selfie with the awesome tree, tag it #NakedMobile and post the selfie on Facebook. For every selfie we Liked we donated $10 to White Mountain Safe House (plus a little more for good measure)!
White Mountains Angel Tags for Children and Seniors
We just love the Salvation Army’s local Angel Tags program and participate by encouraging our employees to purchase and donate items requested by children and the elderly in our White Mountains community. Our employees were encouraged to grab a tag, donate an item, and we dropped all donations off to the Salvation Army in an effort to make the holidays brighter for all.
Springerville-Eagar Santa Giveaway Stocking Stuffers
Santa’s highly anticipated annual visit to Springerville-Eagar in early December was made even more festive thanks to our marketing team’s donation of stocking stuffers to help bring smiles to children’s faces who live in and around the area. In addition to the stocking stuffers provided by Cellular One, children also enjoyed meeting Santa and opening gifts while sipping hot cocoa and apple cider.
Shop With a Cop
Cellular One once again proudly sponsored the annual Shop With a Cop holiday program created to help ensure that local children and their families in need have a Christmas that they might otherwise not be able to enjoy. The program also rewards participating students for their high grades and good conduct during the school year. Students were given the chance to purchase gifts for themselves or their families as local police accompanied them on a holiday shopping spree.
Especially during the holiday season, Cellular One is proud to serve as a pillar of the White Mountains community when it comes to reliable, affordable technology and community giving. As we embark on a new year, we thank you for trusting us to meet your personal and business technology needs. We look forward to serving you in 2017 and beyond!
